ST JOHN WESTON RHYN, EXTENSION & ALTERATIONS
View of the porch entrance with the new extension to the left.
Working with Anne Netherwood chartered architect we are helping this Shropshire Church to provide additional spaces for community activities, meetings and storage.
The first phases of the work added a mezzanine floor to the vestry to provide storage space and extended the porch with an in-keeping stone extension to the porch. This contains a wheelchair accessible WC and is large enough to contain a planned staircase to access a future 2nd floor meeting room. The exterior work was largely done by contractors with members of the church doing much of the interior work themselves.
Part of the enlarged lobby, with a section of formerly exterior stonework on display.
